Our Cause

On behalf of the Cody Kehler It’s in the Memories Society, we raise funds to help vulnerable children and families in the Delta Community.

Our Charity Background
My son Cody was tragically killed in a car accident on highway #10 on Thanksgiving Day of 2014, his grade 12 year.  In his memory, we (his two best friends, his brother and myself) have been raising funds annually to help vulnerable families in North Delta, by hosting an annual Charity Golf Classic.
Cody Kehler: To know him was to love him
Cody grew up and lived in North Delta until grade 9 before moving to Cloverdale. He attended Richardson Elementary K-7 and received the Don Brown All Around Student Award in Grade 7. He had a heart of gold and would stop at nothing to make sure others were okay.
He was very active in any sports he could try. He received his black belt for tae-kwon-do at the age of 9, played soccer, basketball, ball hockey and volleyball and then proceeded to excel in rugby in senior high, BC rugby and Canada West, with scholarships and UBC in his sights.
How WE help
Donations to our Annual Charity Classic have so far enabled us to:
• Provide funding for Breakfast Programs at McCloskey & Hellings Elementary.
• Donate to the Delta School District to create the Cody Kehler Foundation.
• Provide Christmas hampers (including food, gifts for each member, clothing, bedding etc) for multiple families. (hoping to add the same assistance in the summer for families in need).
• To enable children of vulnerable families to participate in after school activities (including camps, art programs, sports, equipment and supplies etc).
• Donate to the North Delta Soccer Club for an annual Memorial Athletic bursary.
• Provided an annual scholarship to the Cody Kehler BE the Change Scholarship issued at Clayton Heights Secondary.

Our mission
With your support, through our annual Charity Golf Classic, we hope to expand the impact even further and continue Cody’s legacy by helping others as much as possible through scholarships, bursaries, awards and outreach programs throughout the community that made Cody the special person that he was.

Your support in the Cody Kehler It’s in the Memories Society is deeply appreciated
and I want to thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
